SNAKE EYES CAPER

      Ramo refuses to blog. However, here is a look at the MACLA reception/show through his dead eyes. Or a biased look at the reception because there are only pictures of people hanging out by OUR installation, looking at OUR work, singing OUR praises. How convienant. If you'd like to see the other artists' work you'll have to make the pilgrimage down there. No one rides for free.

STU-STU-STUDIO

       For those at all interested in seeing my "STUDIO" aka the garage & my bedroom, here are some voyeuristic snapshots for ya'll. Don't judge my pack rat inclination! I can't help it, I'm Mexican. I'm practically predisposed to be excessive. Enjoi.

Here I'll do bigger/toxic stuff depending on the barometer, much too hot in the summer. I also have some of my work up for display/studio visits.

 Then there's my room, climate controlled, itunes and nieghbors the TiVO. Perfect. Here I'll do digital stuff, smaller work, and drawings.

EASTER EGGS & GAG REEL

Here are some in-process shots of my work. Juan Gabriel is queer and a musical genius. Don't hate. Many layers of hilarity he provides.

"Diva de Juarez: Todo Un Senor" mixed media, 27" x 39", 2005.

    I took up wood whittling late last year. These are "Broken Birds" and "Flying Daggers" in process.  Can't tell you the amount of blood loss and embedded in the grain of these owls.  Nor how yolked my forearms got carving these out of wood blocks.

      Lastly here is my "Lyn May: Vedette de Altura" (mixed media, 4'X4ft, 2005) painting. If you've never seen Mexican fichera films, you probably don't know who it is. Google image search. Again, layers of hilarity. Word to the wise sequins are a bitch to use on paintings.
